EdTechTeacher iPad Summit- Boston 2013

Through the use of iTunes U, learners can be empowered to educate others through innovative lessons. See how a course in iTunes U gained over 70,000 subscribers in less than 5 months and connected a high school science class in Texas to Nigeria, New Zealand, Chicago, and a nursing school in South America. Beginning in the fall of 2013, learners in my class are developing a free, online open course in Health and Nutrition that includes learner developed tutorials, inquiry based science labs, useful apps, review resources and a chance to Skype with our class for a Q&A at the conclusion of the lesson. Participants will also be invited to run simultaneous science experiments and compile worldwide data into a shared spreadsheet to see how mass collection of data improves scientific reliability.
