Tap Into Teen Minds With iPad 2

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Experience a day in the life of the Tap Into Teen Minds iPad paperless math classroom with Apple Distinguished Educator and Apple PD Certified Trainer, Kyle Pearce.

Kyle will demonstrate how you can engage students in ANY classroom through the use of a single iPad, or a one-to-one iPad classroom by using the iPad for all classroom tasks.

Topics include the use of:
- Dropbox to create a digital (and paperless) classroom
- Google Drive to use iPads and other mobile technology as a free classroom "clicker" system as well as for assessment and evaluation.
- Create student digital portfolios using Evernote or similar
- Splashtop Remote Desktop to eliminate the need for an Interactive Whiteboard
- Apple TV to allow students to mirror their iPad screens to the projector for "Digital Bansho"
- iPad as a wireless & portable document camera
- Utilizing video screencast apps to record your lessons for sharing online and to allow students to demonstrate their deep understanding of course learning goals.
- Free online resources which make your classroom a dynamic and engaging learning environment on the iPad
- And many more...

As always, the focus of the workshop can be tailored to fit the teacher learning needs for this particular conference.

It is recommended that attendees bring their own iPad and/or laptops to access online resources.
