Explain Everything: Formative Assessment with Multimedia Design.

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Screencasting (capturing on screen visuals, action, and audio narration) on the iPad has become an increasingly popular approach since the dawn of this transformative device. But what happens when students, not just teachers, are engaged in the process of creating multimedia representations of their understanding? This session shares contextual findings from recently completed research on iPads, screencasting, and formative assessment and also explores creative ways to use Explain Everything for iPad in a variety of classroom settings and disciplines. Whether this is your first time hearing about screencasting or you are an experienced Explain Everything (or any other iPad screencasting tool for that matter) user, this session is designed to make you think, collaborate, create, and share!
